I wanted to reach out to you before the end of the year because my friends at the DNC are up against an important deadline, and as a former chair of the party, I know just how important it is that the DNC hits their goals -- <em>especially</em> with next year's midterms coming up quickly.
</p>
<p style="font-size:18px;margin-bottom:8px;">I proudly served as interim DNC chair twice during the Obama years. The first half of President Obama's first term looked a lot like the moment we find ourselves in now: A Democrat in the White House and Democratic majorities in the House and Senate. But just like in 2010, we're facing a critical midterm election in 2022 that could determine whether or not we can continue making progress in the face of Republican obstructionism.

But our work to deliver for the American people is too important for us to allow Republicans to take back control like they did back in 2010.
