<p style="font-size:18px;margin-bottom:8px;">This week, Texas Republicans pushed forward a bill that would make it more difficult to vote by mail and ban drive-thru voting.
</p>
<p style="font-size:18px;margin-bottom:8px;">My Democratic colleagues and I left the state to break quorum and prevent the GOP from passing this dangerous bill that would trample Texans' right to vote. <em><u>But defending our democracy shouldn't have to come to this.</u></em>
</p>
<p style="font-size:18px;margin-bottom:8px;">We must safeguard voters in Texas and across the country against Republican efforts to rig the system -- and doing so will require the full support of this grassroots team.
</p>
